Anna Silk was the first child born to Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a actress, playwright director, producer, and professor of St. Thomas University). Anna was born in Fredericton and is the child of the couple Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" born in Britain. Anna remembers attending the rehearsals of performances as a kid as well as watching her mother working. Anna was a part of numerous commercials in her early years.
