Swift's second album Speak Now, released nearly two years following the debut, further consolidated the success of this album. The album propelled Swift into the spotlight. The next three albums she released, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) and Reputation, the popularity of Swift grew, and she found herself in a music scene with a clear sense of where she belonged. She stayed at the top of pop even when she dropped her own style on her sister albums folklore & Evermore in 2020.
